Osung Kwon, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Scholar
Osung is a Postdoctoral Associate at The Jackson Laboratory, where he studies the network dynamics of neural assemblies underlying complex cognitive behaviors. His research centers on uncovering neural architectures involved in the development of neurological diseases and identifying potential therapeutic targets. Current work focuses on circuit remapping in the peri-infarct area following stroke, employing advanced approaches such as active circuit mapping, optogenetics, influence mapping, and gene expression profiling. With a strong background in neuroscience and extensive experience in both academic and research settings, Osung aims to advance the understanding of neural circuitry and plasticity to support the development of effective therapies for neural disorders.
